Friday Diary: Pork Calamari

Last night’s Frigames introduced no new games – a free weekend for Chivalry gave us the chance to introduce it to a few low-G medieval combat virgins, and after that we defaulted to more Dota 2. That’s good though, it gives people chance to catch up with what’s going on, especially since not everyone can make Frigames all the time.

Mmmmmm, pic rectum.

Friday Diary: Terribly Good

5punk has a long history of loving terrible games. Games which are broken, buggy and ridiculous. I think I’ve mentioned that before. We love them because they’re perfect for comedy, and they’re even funnier when you have a deadly serious community playing them. Last night we found such a game.

Meanwhile in Russia...

Friday Diary: Lady Bits

Last night’s gaming proved to be very much an archetype of 5punky gaming; fraught with disaster and conversations for which I daren’t google a title image. We had a good showing though, and while the gaming produced nothing particularly groundbreaking it gives me an excuse to set the background noise level from which the other shenanigans that appear here can be based.

I need to think about what I'll have to google before I come up with a title.

I really should think about what I’ll have to google before I come up with a title.

Friday Diary: Cock Snorkeling

An ill-prepared evening left us mostly playing Dota 2 last night, but I’m not going to run away with evangelising over a game half the people who read this probably don’t like. I’ll save that for another week. We had a fine turnout though, and the witty and sophisticated repartee was present as always. As can be seen by the title of this week’s diary.

I'm not googling 'cock snorkling.' Have a duckling instead.

The Friday Diary: Wuuuuaaaaaaaarrrrrrrgh!

This friday’s gaming was relatively quiet, around six of us playing over the course of the night. You may be able to predict how the night ends from the trend of previous weeks, but we were a little more varied in the run-up last night. I’m glad, because it’s given me the chance to write about the most recent addition to the list of 5punky games.

Friday Diary: The Troll Rationale

After a week’s hiatus for many 5punkers courtesy of Bashes, we returned in force last night for friday games. I have to admit, I deliberately pushed for Fabyak’s suggestion for an opening game because I knew it would be fun to write about afterwards, but that’s okay – it’s fun to write about because it’s fun to play. The theme from last night, though, was trolling. Or rather anti-trolling and the proximity of that to being an actual troll. It’s a fine line.

I fucking hated these things.

The Friday Diary: Vulpomorphism

Friday night games can vary wildly in their medium, but not as wildly as the conversations over Teamspeak. Last night the gaming was as before, Battlefield 3 followed by some Dota 2, but the sparkling conversation included things possibly never discussed before by man.

The Friday Diary: Return of the BEEF

I’m going to try to make a regular feature of a quick diary of our 5punky gaming nights on fridays and saturdays. Not everyone can make them, but people may be interested in the games. Teamspeak forms the heart of our gaming nights, the games almost being there as a source of conversation. Beer also features quite highly. Our gaming nights have always been one of the things which keeps the community as close as it is.

Soldiers and beer are common themes.
